Rustic Elegance—

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

With miles of white sand beaches on the tip of the Baja Peninsula, this spectacular location is only outdone by its ideal climate. An easy two-hour flight from several US cities, Los Cabos is the perfect destination. Part of El Dorado’s vibrant community, this luxurious second home is part of a member-only resort that includes unequaled recreational opportunities and exceptional amenities.

The area's rich architectural history is reflected in the gracious entry and courtyard fountain, lined in traditional blue and white Talavera tiles. Stepping inside, the 3,000-square-foot interior reflects a distinct sense of place while retaining a clean, modern sensibility. The architectural features of dark wood contrast nicely with the lighter-toned walls. Interior features include lattice-topped arched windows, sculpture niches, a custom stone fireplace surround, and a kitchen range hood.

Travertine counters and natural stone floors topped with nubby, hand-woven floor coverings add warmth and texture. Pulling inspiration from the deep blue sea and bright green landscaping, fabrics and artwork add punches of color to the naturalistic, tranquil palette.

Many signature furnishings were made in Mexico and reflected a collected timeless appeal. Accessories and lighting were locally sourced, highlighting some of the area's traditional crafts. Hammered silver lamp bases and macramé ottomans add charm and blend well with rustic Mexican pine furniture. Comfortable wood stools have the right touch of iron accents and rush seats.
