If you have the time, head down or up to Half Moon Bay. Of course I highly recommend The Beach House Hotel to spend the night as LJLdesigns designed it. http://www.beach-house.com/half-moon-bay/index.aspx. It is a boutique hotel right on the water with amazing views. Go ahead and stroll down main street and check out all the shops, galleries and yummy food venues. There are lots to see and do to fill your day between the beach and main street. Don’t forget to check out Lemo’s farm and Spanish Town. I bought my first piece of “real” art at a local gallery there. I still have it and it hangs in my dining room. I was there for a client meeting and finally took the time to stroll downtown and stop in Spanish town. It has been a few years since I had time to do this, so I was excited to find these treasures!

We all want to buy furniture made right here is the USA. This shop has beautiful furniture and accessories made locally. I loved the photos printed on wood and wood boxes with unique / inspirational sayings on them.
Oddysea – http://oddyssea.com/
I fell in love with this store. One as an interior designer you can create wonderful unique accessories for your client’s home. What made me want to go back was that it is also something you could do with your children, from making necklaces, sea or cactus inspired bowls, sand jars – you name it. I plan on going for the day with my daughter in the near future.
I have been driving past this for years now and always wanted to stop and wander about. It is filled with metal sculptures, water fountains, antiques and photography. Last year when I was hunting for a unique water feature for a home, I really wish I had known about this place.
Fabbri Home and Garden – www.fabbrihomeandgarden.com
This place is huge – indoors you can find all types of natural wood furniture, shells of all shapes and sizes and Mexican inspired pottery. Then as you meander outside it is endless clusters of metal sculptures of animals, water features and outdoor furniture.
Pacifica Coast Treasures – www.pacificcoasttreasures.net
This was a tiny little shop tucked inside that has all sorts of antique furniture, prints, glassware, you name it. I could spend hours looking through all the clutter to find the perfect gem.
Darin Boville Gallery Photography – www.darinboville.com
This photographer is incredibly talented. I was tempted to buy a print but even the smallest was minimum $1500. For the collectors out there I would most definitely check out his work.
